Mr. Naimul Islam, President and CEO of Proficient IT Solutions, Dhaka, Bangladesh

Mr. Islam has 30 years of experience in Computer Science and ICT. He has participated with DARTEC in the SASEC project (Nepal, India Bangladesh, Bhutan) from 2011 to 2018. Mr. Islam and his company Proficent IT brings Telecommunications expertise in Asian countries.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:

• Master of Business Administration in MIS, from Trinity University & College, Delaware, USA, under approved support center “Center for Scholastic Excellence” CSE, Dhaka, Bangladesh, 2003.
• Diploma in Computer Science, from Silicon View Computers (affiliated to NOTRAMS), Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh, 1995

 Mr. Samir Talhami, President and CEO, TKC Telecom, Montreal, Canada

Samir Talhami is an international telecommunications entrepreneur with over 18 years’ experience gained in senior executive and management positions at Cescom Inc., Teleglobe, Bell Canada, TAI Consultants and DTI Telecom. Mr. Talhami has been familiar with IP since its inception in 1996, when he directed IP mandates as an executive telecommunications consultant. In 1998 Mr. Talhami accepted the position of Chairman and CEO of Cescom, a Montreal-based VoIP start-up company specialized in the wholesale termination markets and prepaid calling cards. Over the next two years he was responsible for building an IP team of technical and sales professionals, setting up a VoIP billing system, deploying a managed international IP network. The start-up company grew to over 120 employees with an exit rate of $80 million annually.

 Mr. Talhami brings to the Company a vision built on extensive entrepreneurial experience in defining new telecom business models and forging alliances with key industrial and financial partners. His business acumen combined with his fluency in five major languages has enabled him to develop a network of business relationships around the world. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Montreal and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Catholic University of Chile in Santiago.
